PYLONA is situated 3 km from Lindos in a valley which connects the eastern, south eastern villages and the center of the island. The main road through from Rhodes to Kattavia which also connects the coastal towns passes near to the village
Pylona is a traditional all year round Greek village with a population of around 400, it is also home to a small English community. The village has four taverna’s some offering home cooked Greek food, two local small supermarkets providing fresh fruit vegetables and other essentials the village has a post office and once a week a visiting Doctor holds a surgery in the village. Greek village life still goes on here, the local people are very friendly indeed and will welcome you to the many traditional celebrations
